Winter Wonderland

It is mid-March and there is no sign of spring. Far from it - it started snowing again before the city had a chance to finally sweep the streets from all the grit of the past months.
Everyone is complaining about the white noise and the long winter, the bad weather and the constant snow. At work I am being asked whether I can make the winter go away, people want to move south. On the radio they are bitching about the possibility of white Easter and that they don't want to hear about white christmas ever again.
I am in between all this wondering what is the big deal?
For years and years everyone has been complaining that there are no real winters anymore, that the earth is warming up and we don't get any snow anymore. Everyone is bitching from October to December about not having white christmas and that winter is only an extension of a horrible fall with lots of rain and bad days.
So what is it people actually want? Winter or no winter? People, decide!
We live in a country with four seasons and although this has been a cold winter, it wasn't unusual. It was more unusual that the past 10 winters have been so mild.

And once again I have to say, I am still not sick of it. I love the snow and the way it touches everything so smoothly. It makes the world friendlier and more peaceful. It is the time to snuggle in your berkshire blanket and read a good book...

So please, guys, make up your mind... Do you want four seasons or not? It is still winter until March 20th and that is 9 days away, so let the winter be!
